A woman from Bani Sulaym, who had served as midwife to most of the people of our household, told me that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent for Uthman bin Talha. On another occasion he said that she asked Uthman, "Why did the Prophet ﷺ summon you?"Uthman replied, "He told me, 'I saw the ram's horns when I entered the House, and I forgot to instruct you to cover them. So cover them, for there should be nothing in the House that distracts a person at prayer.'"Sufyan said that the ram's horns remained in the House until the House caught fire, and they burned with it. This is the end of the hadith.
حدثنا سفيان حدثني منصور عن خاله مسافع
أخبرتني امرأة من بني سليم ولدت عامة أهل دارنا أرسل رسول الله ﷺ إلى عثمان بن طلحة وقال مرة إنها سألت عثمان لم دعاك النبي ﷺ قال إني كنت رأيت قرني الكبش حيث دخلت البيت فنسيت أن آمرك أن تخمرهما فخمرهما فإنه لا ينبغي أن يكون في البيت شيء يشغل المصلي قال سفيان لم يزل قرنا الكبش في البيت حتى احترق البيت فاحترقا هذا آخر حديث
