The Messenger of Allah ﷺ fasted during his journey in the year of the Conquest and ordered his companions to break their fast, saying, "You are about to meet your enemy, so strengthen yourselves."It was said, "Messenger of Allah, the people have fasted because you are fasting."When he reached al-Kadid, he broke his fast.The one who narrated this to me said, "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ pouring water over his head because of the heat while he was fasting."
حدثنا عثمان بن عمر أخبرنا مالك عن سمي عن أبي بكر بن عبد الرحمن بن الحارث
أن رسول الله ﷺ صام في سفره عام الفتح وأمر أصحابه بالإفطار وقال إنكم تلقون عدوكم فتقووا فقيل يا رسول الله إن الناس قد صاموا لصيامك فلما أتى الكديد أفطر قال الذي حدثني فلقد رأيت رسول الله ﷺ يصب الماء على رأسه من الحر وهو صائم
