Sayfi bin Suhayb bin Sinan reported,

Suhayb came to the Prophet ﷺ, who had dates and bread placed before him. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Come close and eat."Suhayb began eating from the dates, so the Prophet ﷺ said to him, "You have an inflammation in your eye, yet you eat dates?"Suhayb replied, "Messenger of Allah, I am only chewing from the other side."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then smiled.

حدثنا أبو النضر حدثنا عبد الله بن المبارك

عن عبد الحميد بن صيفي عن أبيه عن جده قال

إن صهيبا قدم على النبي ﷺ وبين يديه تمر وخبز قال ادن فكل فأخذ يأكل من التمر فقال له النبي ﷺ إن بعينك رمدا فقال يا رسول الله إنما آكل من الناحية الأخرى قال فتبسم رسول الله ﷺ
