The Prophet ﷺ addressed the people at Mina and assigned them their places, saying, "Let the Muhajirun camp here," pointing to the right side of the qiblah, "and the Ansar here," pointing to the left side of the qiblah, "and let the rest of the people camp around them."He then taught them the rites of the pilgrimage. The hearing of the people of Mina was opened so that they could hear him from within their camps. I heard him say, "Throw at the Jamrah with pebbles the size of those used in the khadhf game."
حدثنا عبد الرزاق أخبرنا معمر عن حميد الأعرج عن محمد بن إبراهيم التيمي عن عبد الرحمن بن معاذ
خطب النبي ﷺ الناس بمنى ونزلهم منازلهم وقال لينزل المهاجرون هاهنا وأشار إلى ميمنة القبلة والأنصار هاهنا وأشار إلى ميسرة القبلة ثم لينزل الناس حولهم قال وعلمهم مناسكهم ففتحت أسماع أهل منى حتى سمعوه وهم في منازلهم قال فسمعته يقول ارموا الجمرة بمثل حصى الخذف
