A one-eyed man called Maruf, of whom he spoke well, reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The wedding feast on the first day is an obligation, on the second day it is a kindness, and on the third day it is showing off and seeking reputation."

أعور يقال له معروف وأثنى عليه خيرا قال قال رسول الله ﷺ الوليمة حق واليوم الثاني معروف واليوم الثالث سمعة ورياء
