The Prophet ﷺ counted on his fingers, or on the fingers of the man from Banu Sulaym, and said, "SubhanAllah fills half the scale, Alhamdulillah fills the scale, and Allahu Akbar fills what is between the heavens and the earth. Purification is half of the scale, and fasting is half of patience."
حدثنا محمد بن جعفر حدثنا شعبة عن أبي إسحاق عن جري النهدي
أن النبي ﷺ عقد في يده أو في يد السلمي فقال سبحان الله نصف الميزان والحمد لله يملأ الميزان والله أكبر يملأ ما بين السماء والأرض والطهور نصف الميزان والصوم نصف الصبر
