When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ intended to set out on a journey, he would say, "O Allah, You are the Companion on the journey and the Guardian over the family. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from hardship during travel and from gloom upon returning. O Allah, fold up the earth for us and make the journey easy for us."When he intended to return, he would say, "We return, repentant, worshipping our Lord, and praising Him."And when he entered upon his family, he would say, "Repenting, repenting to our Lord, returning to Him, leaving no sin upon us."
حدثنا عبد الله بن محمد بن أبي شيبة وسمعته أنا من عبد الله بن محمد حدثنا أبو الأحوص عن سماك عن عكرمة
كان رسول الله ﷺ إذا أراد أن يخرج إلى سفر قال اللهم أنت الصاحب في السفر والخليفة في الأهل اللهم إني أعوذ بك من الضبنة في السفر والكآبة في المنقلب اللهم اطو لنا الأرض وهون علينا السفر وإذا أراد الرجوع قال آيبون تائبون عابدون لربنا حامدون وإذا دخل أهله قال توبا توبا لربنا أوبا لا يغادر علينا حوبا
