A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Messenger of Allah, so-and-so owns a palm tree inside my walled garden. Order him to sell it to me or to give it to me as a gift."The owner of the tree refused.The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, "Do it, and you shall have a palm tree in Paradise for it."Still he refused.So the Prophet ﷺ said, "This is the stingiest of people."
حدثنا وكيع حدثنا الأعمش عن أبي صالح ذكوان
جاء رجل إلى النبي ﷺ فقال يا رسول الله إن لفلان نخلة في حائطي فمره فليبعنيها أو ليهبها لي قال فأبى الرجل فقال رسول الله ﷺ افعل ولك بها نخلة في الجنة فأبى فقال النبي ﷺ هذا أبخل الناس
