He was stung, and the matter was mentioned to the Prophet ﷺ. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Had you said when evening came, 'I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created,' it would not have harmed you."Suhayl said, "Whenever any of us was stung, my father would ask, 'Did he say it?' If they answered yes, he considered that it would not harm him."
حدثنا محمد بن جعفر حدثنا شعبة عن سهيل بن أبي صالح عن أبيه
أنه لدغ فذكر ذلك للنبي ﷺ فقال النبي ﷺ لو أنك قلت حين أمسيت أعوذ بكلمات الله التامات من شر ما خلق لم تضرك قال سهيل فكان أبي إن لدغ أحد منا يقول قالها فإن قالوا نعم قال كأنه يرى أنها لا تضره
