An Arabi called out in the mosque after the dawn prayer, "Who can direct me to my lost red camel?"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "May you not find it, may you not find it, may you not find it. These houses were only built," Muammal said, "these mosques were only built, for the purpose for which they were built."
حدثنا عبد الله بن الوليد ومؤمل قالا حدثنا سفيان حدثنا علقمة بن مرثد
أن أعرابيا قال في المسجد من دعا للجمل الأحمر بعد الفجر فقال رسول الله ﷺ لا وجدته لا وجدته لا وجدته إنما بنيت هذه البيوت قال مؤمل هذه المساجد لما بنيت له
