The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I had previously forbidden you three things. I forbade you from visiting graves, from keeping the meat of sacrificial animals beyond three days, and from using certain containers.As for the meat of sacrifices, I forbade it so that those with abundance might share with those who had none. Now you may eat it and store it.As for visiting graves, I forbade it, but Muhammad has now been granted permission to visit his mother's grave, so visit them.As for the containers, I forbade them, but containers neither make anything forbidden nor lawful. Yet every intoxicant is forbidden."
حدثنا مؤمل حدثنا سفيان عن علقمة بن مرثد
قال رسول الله ﷺ إني كنت نهيتكم عن ثلاث عن زيارة القبور وعن لحوم الأضاحي أن تحبس فوق ثلاث وعن الأوعية ونهيتكم عن لحوم الأضاحي ليوسع ذو السعة على من لا سعة له فكلوا وادخروا ونهيتكم عن زيارة القبور وإن محمدا قد أذن له في زيارة قبر أمه ونهيتكم عن الظروف وإن الظروف لا تحرم شيئا ولا تحله وكل مسكر حرام
