The Messenger of Allah ﷺ returned from one of his military expeditions, and a black slave girl came and said, "Messenger of Allah, I had vowed that if Allah Almighty brought you back safely, I would beat the tambourine over your head."He said, "If you made such a vow, then do it. Otherwise, do not."She said, "I did make such a vow."So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sat down, and she beat the tambourine.
حدثنا أبو تميلة يحيى بن واضح أخبرنا حسين بن واقد حدثني
رجع رسول الله ﷺ من بعض مغازيه فجاءت جارية سوداء فقالت يا رسول الله إني كنت نذرت إن ردك الله تعالى سالما أن أضرب على رأسك بالدف فقال إن كنت نذرت فافعلي وإلا فلا قالت إني كنت نذرت قال فقعد رسول الله ﷺ فضربت بالدف
