I was sitting with the Prophet ﷺ when a woman from Ghamid came to him and said, "Prophet of Allah, I have committed adultery, and I want you to purify me."The Prophet ﷺ said to her, "Go back."The next day she came to him again and confessed to adultery in his presence, saying, "Messenger of Allah, I have committed adultery, and I want you to purify me."The Prophet ﷺ said to her, "Go back."The next day she came to him again and confessed to adultery in his presence, saying, "Prophet of Allah, purify me. Perhaps you will turn me away as you turned Maez bin Malik away. By Allah, I am pregnant."The Prophet ﷺ said to her, "Go back until you give birth."When she had given birth, she came carrying the child and said, "Prophet of Allah, here is the child I have delivered."He said, "Go and nurse him until you wean him."When she had weaned him, she came with the boy holding a piece of bread in his hand and said, "Prophet of Allah, I have weaned him."The Prophet ﷺ gave instructions concerning the child, and he was handed over to one of the Muslims. Then he gave orders concerning her, and a pit was dug for her, and she was placed in it up to her chest. Then he commanded the people to stone her.Khalid bin Walid came forward with a stone and threw it at her head, and the blood splattered onto Khalid's cheek, and he cursed her. The Prophet ﷺ heard him cursing her and said, "Easy, Khalid bin Walid. Do not curse her. By Him in whose hand my soul is, she has repented such a repentance that if a tax collector were to repent in this way, he would be forgiven."Then he gave instructions concerning her, prayed over her, and she was buried.

كنت جالسا عند النبي ﷺ فجاءته امرأة من غامد فقالت يا نبي الله إني قد زنيت وأنا أريد أن تطهرني فقال لها النبي ﷺ ارجعي فلما أن كان من الغد أتته أيضا فاعترفت عنده بالزنا فقالت يا رسول الله إني قد زنيت وأنا أريد أن تطهرني فقال لها النبي ﷺ ارجعي فلما أن كان من الغد أتته أيضا فاعترفت عنده بالزنا فقالت يا نبي الله طهرني فلعلك أن تردني كما رددت ماعز بن مالك فوالله إني لحبلى فقال لها النبي ﷺ ارجعي حتى تلدي فلما ولدت جاءت بالصبي تحمله فقالت يا نبي الله هذا قد ولدت قال فاذهبي فأرضعيه حتى تفطميه فلما فطمته جاءت بالصبي في يده كسرة خبز قالت يا نبي الله هذا قد فطمته فأمر النبي ﷺ بالصبي فدفعه إلى رجل من المسلمين وأمر بها فحفر لها حفرة فجعلت فيها إلى صدرها ثم أمر الناس أن يرجموها فأقبل خالد بن الوليد بحجر فرمى رأسها فنضح الدم على وجنة خالد فسبها فسمع النبي ﷺ سبه إياها فقال مهلا يا خالد بن الوليد لا تسبها فوالذي نفسي بيده لقد تابت توبة لو تابها صاحب مكس لغفر له فأمر بها فصلى عليها ودفنت
