I was with the Prophet ﷺ at the Trench when he took the pickaxe and began digging with it. He struck a rock, and then he laughed.Someone asked, "What makes you laugh, Messenger of Allah ﷺ?"He replied, "I laughed at people who will be brought from the direction of the east in chains, being driven to Paradise."

كنت مع النبي ﷺ بالخندق فأخذ الكرزين فحفر به فصادف حجرا فضحك قيل ما يضحكك يا رسول الله ﷺ قال ضحكت من ناس يؤتى بهم من قبل المشرق في النكول يساقون إلى الجنة
