I heard him relate that a woman came to the Prophet ﷺ, and he mentioned the hadith. The Prophet ﷺ asked, "Do you know any of the Quran?"The man replied, "Yes."The Prophet ﷺ asked, "Which parts?"He said, "Surah such-and-such, and surah such-and-such, and surah such-and-such."The Prophet ﷺ said, "I have given her to you in marriage for what you know of the Quran."The narrator said, "I saw him walking away with her following behind him."
حدثنا عبد الرزاق حدثنا معمر عن أبي حازم
سمعته يحدث أن امرأة جاءت النبي ﷺ فذكر الحديث قال فهل تقرأ من القرآن شيئا قال نعم قال ماذا قال سورة كذا وكذا وسورة كذا وسورة كذا قال فقد أملكتكها بما معك من القرآن قال فرأيته يمضي وهي تتبعه
