We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at the Trench. They were digging while we carried the dirt on our shoulders. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O Allah, there is no life except the life of the Hereafter, so forgive the Emigrants and the Helpers."
حدثنا قتيبة بن سعيد حدثنا عبد العزيز بن أبي حازم عن أبيه
كنا مع رسول الله ﷺ بالخندق وهم يحفرون ونحن ننقل التراب على أكتافنا فقال رسول الله ﷺ اللهم لا عيش إلا عيش الآخرة فاغفر للمهاجرين والأنصار
