Ubada bin Samit reported,

Whenever revelation descended upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, he would be overcome with distress and his face would change color. One day revelation came to him, and when it had passed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Take from me. Allah has now appointed a way for them. The married person with the married person, and the virgin with the virgin. The married person receives one hundred lashes and then stoning with stones, and the virgin with the virgin receives one hundred lashes and then banishment for a year."

حدثنا عبد الله بن بكر حدثنا سعيد عن قتادة عن الحسن عن حطان بن عبد الله أخي بني رقاش

عن عبادة بن الصامت أنه قال

كان رسول الله ﷺ إذا نزل الوحي عليه كرب لذلك وتربد وجهه فأوحي إليه ذات يوم فلما سري عنه قال رسول الله ﷺ خذوا عني قد جعل الله لهن سبيلا الثيب بالثيب والبكر بالبكر الثيب جلد مائة ثم رجما بالحجارة والبكر بالبكر جلد مائة ثم نفي سنة
