The Messenger of Allah ﷺ led us in the dawn prayer, and the recitation became heavy upon him. When he finished, he said, "I see that you are reciting behind your imam."They replied, "Yes, by Allah, Messenger of Allah, we do that."He said, "Do not do so, except for the Mother of the Quran, for there is no prayer for one who does not recite it."
حدثنا يزيد قال أخبرنا محمد بن إسحاق عن مكحول عن محمود بن الربيع
صلى بنا رسول الله ﷺ صلاة الغداة فثقلت عليه القراءة فلما انصرف قال إني لأراكم تقرءون وراء إمامكم قالوا نعم والله يا رسول الله إنا لنفعل هذا قال فلا تفعلوا إلا بأم القرآن فإنه لا صلاة لمن لم يقرأ بها
