I entered the mosque while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was sitting among the people, so I sat down.The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked, "What kept you from praying two units of prayer before you sat?"I replied, "I saw you sitting and the people sitting."He said, "When one of you enters the mosque, he should not sit until he has prayed two units of prayer."

دخلت المسجد ورسول الله ﷺ جالس بين ظهراني الناس فجلست فقال رسول الله ﷺ ما منعك أن تركع ركعتين قبل أن تجلس قال قلت إني رأيتك جالسا والناس جلوس قال وإذا دخل أحدكم المسجد فلا يجلس حتى يركع ركعتين
