I used to have dreams that would make me ill.He said, I met Abu Qatada, and he said, "I too used to have dreams that would make me ill, until I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'A righteous dream is from Allah. When one of you sees something he likes, let him not relate it except to someone he loves. When he sees something he dislikes, let him spit to his left three times and seek refuge in Allah from Satan the accursed and from its evil, and let him not tell anyone about it, for then it will not harm him.'"Hajjaj said, Shuba said, I asked him, "Should he seek refuge in Allah from Satan?"He replied, "Yes."
حدثنا محمد بن جعفر وحجاج قالا حدثنا شعبة عن عبد رب وقال حجاج عن عبد ربه
إن كنت لأرى الرؤيا تمرضني قال فلقيت أبا قتادة فقال وأنا فكنت لأرى الرؤيا تمرضني حتى سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول الرؤيا الصالحة من الله وإذا رأى أحدكم ما يحب فلا يحدث بها إلا من يحب وإذا رأى ما يكره فليتفل عن يساره ثلاثا وليتعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم وشرها ولا يحدث بها أحدا فإنها لا تضره قال حجاج قال شعبة فقلت له ليتعوذ بالله من الشيطان قال نعم
