We were with Abu Qatada on the roof of our house when a shooting star streaked across the sky. The people looked at it, and Abu Qatada said, "We have been forbidden to follow it with our eyes."
حدثنا يزيد بن هارون حدثنا هشام
كنا مع أبي قتادة على ظهر بيتنا فرأى كوكبا انقض فنظروا إليه فقال أبو قتادة إنا قد نهينا أن نتبعه أبصارنا
Its isnad is sahih. Hisham is Dastawai, and Muhammad is Ibn Sirin, and Ahmad alone narrated this hadith.
