The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When the call to prayer is given, do not stand until you see me."
حدثنا إسماعيل حدثنا الحجاج بن أبي عثمان حدثني يحيى بن أبي كثير
قال رسول الله ﷺ إذا نودي للصلاة فلا تقوموا حتى تروني
Its isnad is sahih, its narrators are trustworthy and well-known. Ismail is Ibn Ulaya, and Hajjaj bin Abu Uthman is a trustworthy and precise memorizer. Nasai related the hadith at 2/81, no. 790, in the book of leadership in prayer, chapter on people standing when they see the imam. Darimi related it at 1/223, no. 1262.
