A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and asked, "What do you think if a man comes to take my property?"He replied, "Remind him of Allah the Exalted."The man asked, "What if I remind him of Allah?"He said, "If you do that and he does not stop, then seek help against him from the authorities."The man asked, "What if the authorities are far from me?"He said, "Seek help from the Muslims."The man asked, "What if no Muslim is present with me, and he rushes upon me?"He said, "Then fight until you protect your property or are killed, in which case you will be among the martyrs of the Hereafter."

أتى رجل النبي فقال أرأيت إن أتاني رجل يأخذ مالي قال تذكره بالله تعالى قال أرأيت إن ذكرته بالله قال فإن فعلت فلم ينته قال تستعين عليه بالسلطان قال أرأيت إن كان السلطان مني نائيا قال تستعين بالمسلمين قال أرأيت إن لم يحضرني أحد من المسلمين وعجل علي قال فقاتل حتى تحرز مالك أو تقتل فتكون في شهداء الآخرة
