The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever grants something for life, it belongs to the one to whom it was granted as a valid gift. Whoever grants something with the condition that it returns to whichever of them outlives the other, it belongs to the one to whom it was granted as a valid gift. Whoever gives a gift and then takes it back is like one who returns to his vomit."
حدثنا ابن نمير حدثنا حجاج عن أبي الزبير عن طاوس
قال رسول الله ﷺ من أعمر عمرى فهي لمن أعمرها جائزة ومن أرقب رقبى فهي لمن أرقبها جائزة ومن وهب هبة ثم عاد فيها فهو كالعائد في قيئه
