Thawban reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Who will pledge to me one thing, and I will pledge Paradise for him?"I said, "I will, Messenger of Allah."He said, "Do not ask people for anything."After that, Thawban's whip would sometimes fall while he was on his camel, and he would not ask anyone to hand it to him. Instead, he would dismount and pick it up himself.
