We visited Abu Masud al-Ansari and asked him about the prayer. He said, "Shall I not pray for you the way the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray?"He stood up, said the takbir, and raised his hands. Then he bowed, placed his palms on his knees, and held his arms away from his sides. Then he rose until every part of his body had settled. Then he prostrated, placed his palms on the ground, and held his arms away from his sides. Then he rose until every part of his body had settled. He prayed four units this way.
