The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "On Friday, the angels sit at the doors of the mosque with scrolls, recording the people who come. When the imam comes out, the scrolls are folded up."I asked, "Abu Umama, does the one who arrives after the imam has come out not have a valid Friday prayer?"He replied, "Yes, he does, but he is not among those recorded in the scrolls."
حدثنا أبو النضر حدثنا مبارك يعني ابن فضالة حدثني أبو غالب
قال رسول الله ﷺ تقعد الملائكة يوم الجمعة على أبواب المسجد معهم الصحف يكتبون الناس فإذا خرج الإمام طويت الصحف قلت يا أبا أمامة ليس لمن جاء بعد خروج الإمام جمعة قال بلى ولكن ليس ممن يكتب في الصحف
