The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "My Lord has favored me over the prophets, peace be upon them," or he said, "over the nations, with four things. I have been sent to all people. The whole earth has been made a place of prayer and a means of purification for me and my community, so wherever a man from my community is overtaken by the time of prayer, he has his place of prayer and his means of purification right there. I have been aided with awe striking the hearts of my enemies from a month's distance away, and the spoils of war have been made lawful for us."Abdullah narrated to us, Yahya bin Muin narrated to us, Mutamir narrated to us from his father, from Sayar, the freedman of the family of Muawiya, with another hadith. He is also called Sayar al-Shami.
حدثنا محمد بن أبي عدي عن سليمان يعني التيمي عن سيار
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال فضلني ربي على الأنبياء عليهم الصلاة والسلام أو قال على الأمم بأربع قال أرسلت إلى الناس كافة وجعلت الأرض كلها لي ولأمتي مسجدا وطهورا فأينما أدركت رجلا من أمتي الصلاة فعنده مسجده وعنده طهوره ونصرت بالرعب مسيرة شهر يقذفه في قلوب أعدائي وأحل لنا الغنائم حدثنا عبد الله حدثنا يحيى بن معين حدثنا معتمر عن أبيه عن سيار مولى لآل معاوية بحديث آخر ويقال سيار الشامي
