Muaz bin Jabal reported,

While I was riding behind the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, with nothing between us but the back of the saddle, he said, "Muaz."I replied, "At your service, Messenger of Allah, and at your pleasure."He rode on for a while, then said, "Muaz bin Jabal."I replied, "At your service, Messenger of Allah, and at your pleasure."He rode on for a while longer, then said, "Muaz bin Jabal."I replied, "At your service, Messenger of Allah, and at your pleasure."He asked, "Do you know what Allah's right is upon His servants?"I said, "Allah and His Messenger know best."He said, "Allah's right upon His servants is that they worship Him and associate nothing with Him."He rode on for a while, then said, "Muaz bin Jabal."I replied, "At your service, Messenger of Allah, and at your pleasure."He asked, "Do you know what the servants' right upon Allah is when they do that?"I said, "Allah and His Messenger know best."He said, "The servants' right upon Allah is that He will not punish them."

حدثنا عبد الله حدثني أبي حدثنا عفان حدثنا همام حدثنا قتادة عن أنس أن

معاذ بن جبل حدثه قال

بينما أنا رديف رسول الله ﷺ ليس بيني وبينه إلا آخرة الرحل فقال يا معاذ قلت لبيك رسول الله وسعديك قال ثم سار ساعة ثم قال يا معاذ بن جبل قلت لبيك رسول الله وسعديك قال ثم سار ساعة ثم قال يا معاذ بن جبل قلت لبيك رسول الله وسعديك قال هل تدري ما حق الله على العباد قال قلت الله ورسوله أعلم قال فإن حق الله على العباد أن يعبدوه ولا يشركوا به شيئا قال ثم سار ساعة ثم قال يا معاذ بن جبل قلت لبيك رسول الله وسعديك قال فهل تدري ما حق العباد على الله إذا فعلوا ذلك قلت الله ورسوله أعلم قال فإن حق العباد على الله أن لا يعذبهم
