I was present with Muaz when death approached him. He said, "Lift the curtain of the canopy from me. I will tell you a hadith I heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ." And another time he said, "I will inform you of something I heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Nothing prevented me from telling it to you except my fear that you would rely upon it. I heard him say, 'Whoever testifies that there is no god but Allah, sincerely from his heart,' or 'with certainty from his heart, will not enter the Fire,'" or "will enter Paradise." And another time he said, "will enter Paradise and the Fire will not touch him."
حدثنا عبد الله حدثني أبي حدثنا سفيان بن عيينة عن عمرو يعني ابن دينار قال سمعت
أنا من شهد معاذا حين حضرته الوفاة يقول اكشفوا عني سجف القبة أحدثكم حديثا سمعته من رسول الله ﷺ وقال مرة أخبركم بشيء سمعته من رسول الله ﷺ لم يمنعني أن أحدثكموه إلا أن تتكلوا سمعته يقول من شهد أن لا إله إلا الله مخلصا من قلبه أو يقينا من قلبه لم يدخل النار أو دخل الجنة وقال مرة دخل الجنة ولم تمسه النار
