We came to Muaz and said, "Tell us some of the rare hadith of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."He said, I was riding behind the Prophet ﷺ on a donkey when he said, "Muaz."I replied, "At your service, Messenger of Allah."He asked, "Do you know what is Allah's right over His servants?"I said, "Allah and His Messenger know best."He said, "Allah's right over His servants is that they worship Him and associate nothing with Him. Do you know what the servants' right over Allah is if they do that?"I said, "Allah and His Messenger know best."He said, "The servants' right over Allah, if they do that, is that He will not punish them."
حدثنا عبد الله حدثني أبي حدثنا أبو معاوية وهو الضرير حدثنا الأعمش عن أبي سفيان
أتينا معاذا فقلنا حدثنا من غرائب حديث رسول الله ﷺ قال فقال كنت ردف النبي ﷺ على حمار فقال يا معاذ فقلت لبيك يا رسول الله قال أتدري ما حق الله على العباد قال قلت الله ورسوله أعلم قال فإن حق الله على العباد أن يعبدوه ولا يشركوا به شيئا فهل تدري ما حق العباد على الله إذا فعلوا ذلك قال قلت الله ورسوله أعلم قال فإن حق العباد على الله إذا فعلوا ذلك أن لا يعذبهم
