He narrated to them that he heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Whoever among the Muslim men fights in the path of Allah for the time it takes to milk a she-camel, Paradise becomes obligatory for him. Whoever sincerely asks Allah for martyrdom from himself, then dies or is killed, will have the reward of a martyr. Whoever receives a wound in the path of Allah, or suffers an injury, it will come on the Day of Resurrection fresher than it ever was, its color like saffron and its fragrance like musk. And whoever is wounded in the path of Allah bears the seal of the martyrs."Ubayy said, Hajjaj and Rawh said "ka-aghadhdh" (fresher), and Abdul-Razzaq said "ka-agharr," and this is the correct version, if Allah wills.
حدثنا عبد الرزاق أنبأنا ابن جريج قال سليمان بن موسى حدثنا مالك بن يخامر أن
حدثهم أنه سمع رسول الله ﷺ يقول من قاتل في سبيل الله من رجل مسلم فواق ناقته وجبت له الجنة ومن سأل الله القتل من عند نفسه صادقا ثم مات أو قتل فله أجر شهيد ومن جرح جرحا في سبيل الله أو نكب نكبة فإنها تجيء يوم القيامة كأغذ ما كانت لونها كالزعفران وريحها كالمسك ومن جرح جرحا في سبيل الله فعليه طابع الشهداء قال أبي و قال حجاج وروح كأغز وقال عبد الرزاق كأغر وهذا الصواب إن شاء الله
Its isnad is sahih. Sulayman bin Musa is al-Umawi, their freedman, a trustworthy narrator whose hadith is found in Muslim, and he has appeared many times before. Malik bin Yakhamir is trustworthy, one of the senior Tabiin, and he has a narration in Bukhari.
