He saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ praying for rain near Ahjar al-Zayt, close to az-Zawra. He stood supplicating for rain, raising his palms without lifting them above his head, with the inner sides of his palms facing his face.
حدثنا هارون بن معروف قال حدثنا ابن وهب قال قال حيوة عن ابن الهاد عن محمد بن إبراهيم التيمي
أنه رأى رسول الله ﷺ يستسقي عند أحجار الزيت قريبا من الزوراء قائما يدعو يستسقي رافعا كفيه لا يجاوز بهما رأسه مقبل بباطن كفيه إلى وجهه
Its isnad is sahih. Ibn Hadi is Yazid bin Abdullah bin Usama bin Hadi, and he is trustworthy and appears frequently. The hadith is close to the one before it. However, this wording was narrated by Abu Dawud, 303/1, no. 1168, in the Book of Prayer, on raising the hands in the prayer for rain.
