Someone said to Usama, "Why don't you speak to Uthman?"He replied, "Do you think that I don't speak to him unless I let you hear it? I do speak to him privately between myself and him, but I will not open a door that I would not wish to be the first to open. By Allah, I will not say to any man, 'You are the best of people,' even if he were a ruler over me, after what I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say."They asked, "What did you hear him say?"He said, "I heard him say, 'A man will be brought on the Day of Resurrection and cast into the Fire. His intestines will spill out, and he will go around with them in the Fire as a donkey turns about its millstone. The people of the Fire will gather around him and say, "So-and-so, what is the matter with you? What has happened to you? Did you not used to command us to do good and forbid us from evil?" He will reply, "I used to command you to do good but did not do it myself, and I forbade you from evil but did it myself."'"
