The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Is any one of you unable, when he comes to his wife, to say, 'In the name of Allah. O Allah, keep Satan away from me and keep Satan away from what You grant us'? For if Allah decrees a child between them as a result, Satan will never harm that child."
حدثنا عمار بن محمد ابن أخت سفيان الثوري عن منصور عن سالم عن كريب
قال رسول الله ﷺ أيعجز أحدكم إذا أتى أهله أن يقول بسم الله اللهم جنبني الشيطان وجنب الشيطان ما رزقتني فإن الله قضى بينهما في ذلك ولدا لم يضره الشيطان أبدا
Its chain of transmission is sahih. Ammar bin Muhammad Thawri, the son of Sufyan's sister, is trustworthy. Ibn Main deemed him trustworthy, and Ali bin Hajar said he was reliable and trustworthy. He has a biographical entry in al-Saghir by Bukhari, 211, and in al-Jarh wal-Tadil, 3/1/393. This hadith is repeated at 1867 and 1908.
