The Messenger of Allah ﷺ laid siege to the people of Taif, and two slaves came out to him. He freed them both, one of them being Abu Bakra. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to free slaves whenever they came out to him.
حدثنا عبد القدوس بن بكر بن خنيس حدثنا الحجاج عن الحكم عن مقسم
حاصر رسول الله ﷺ أهل الطائف فخرج إليه عبدان فأعتقهما أحدهما أبو بكرة وكان رسول الله ﷺ يعتق العبيد إذا خرجوا إليه
