The Messenger of Allah ﷺ departed from Arafah with Usama riding behind him. He kept reining in his mount so tightly that the back of its neck nearly touched, and perhaps Hammad said it nearly struck, the front of the saddle, while he was saying, "People, maintain calmness and dignity, for righteousness does not lie in driving the camels hard."
حدثنا عفان حدثنا حماد بن سلمة أنا قيس بن سعد عن عطاء عن ابن عباس
أن رسول الله ﷺ أفاض من عرفة ورديفه أسامة فجعل يكبح راحلته حتى أن ذفريها لتكاد أن تمس وربما قال حماد أن تصيب قادمة الرحل وهو يقول يا أيها الناس عليكم بالسكينة والوقار فإن البر ليس في إيضاع الإبل
