The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I will be the first to be granted permission to prostrate on the Day of Resurrection, and I will be the first to be granted permission to raise his head. I will then look in front of me and recognize my nation among the nations, and behind me the same, and on my right the same, and on my left the same."A man asked him, "Messenger of Allah, how will you recognize your nation among the nations, from the time of Nuh down to your nation?"He replied, "They will have radiant faces and shining limbs from the traces of ablution, and no one else will be like that. I will also recognize them by the fact that their books will be given to them in their right hands, and I will recognize them by their offspring running before them."
حدثنا حسن حدثنا ابن لهيعة حدثنا يزيد بن أبي حبيب عن عبد الرحمن بن جبير
قال رسول ﷺ أنا أول من يؤذن له بالسجود يوم القيامة وأنا أول من يؤذن له أن يرفع رأسه فأنظر إلى بين يدي فأعرف أمتي من بين الأمم ومن خلفي مثل ذلك وعن يميني مثل ذلك وعن شمالي مثل ذلك فقال له رجل يا رسول الله كيف تعرف أمتك من بين الأمم فيما بين نوح إلى أمتك قال هم غر محجلون من أثر الوضوء ليس أحد كذلك غيرهم وأعرفهم أنهم يؤتون كتبهم بأيمانهم وأعرفهم يسعى بين أيديهم ذريتهم
Its chain of transmission is hasan, and Munziri said in Targhib 1/51, hasan in corroborations. Hakim graded it sahih in 2/478, and Dhahabi agreed with him, though that is not the route of Ahmad. Haythami graded it daif in 1/225 because of Ibn Lahia, then said, it has another route which will come in Bath, and I do not accept the weakness of Ibn Lahia here specifically, for the hadith is very well known and sahih, with similar wordings and many corroborating witnesses.
