The Prophet of Allah ﷺ led the people in two rakahs of prayer on the day of Eid al-Fitr, without any adhan or iqamah. After the prayer, he delivered a sermon. Then he took Bilal by the hand and went over to the women and addressed them. After he had turned away from them, he instructed Bilal to go to them and command them to give in charity.
Its isnad is sahih. Dawud bin Abu Furat Kindi is trustworthy, deemed reliable by Ibn Main, Ibn Mubarak, and others, and Bukhari included his biography in Tarikh al-Kabir 2/1/15.Ibrahim is Ibn Maymun Sayigh, and he is trustworthy, deemed reliable by Ibn Main and Nasai. Ibn Hibban said, "He was a jurist of merit, one of those who enjoined good. Abu Muslim Khurasani killed him unjustly, though he had been his friend. Ibrahim came to him and admonished him, so Abu Muslim said to him, 'Go back to your home, we already know your view.' So he went back, but afterward he embalmed himself with hanut and wrapped himself in a burial shroud, then came to Abu Muslim while he was in a gathering of people, admonished him, and spoke harshly to him. So Abu Muslim ordered that he be killed, and he was thrown into a well." See Ibn Saad 7/2/103, and Bukhari included his biography in Tarikh al-Kabir 1/1/325.Ataa is Ibn Abu Rabah. "Qaffa" with the fa doubled means he went off turning away, as though derived from "qafa" (the back of the neck), meaning he gave them his back and turned his back to them, according to Nihayah. The hadith carries the meaning of 1983, and see also 2004 and 2062.
