"Tonight I will closely watch the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ." So I lay down using his threshold, or his tent, as a pillow. He prayed two light rakahs, then prayed two long rakahs, then prayed two rakahs shorter than the two before them, then prayed two rakahs shorter than the two before them, then prayed two rakahs shorter than the two before them, then prayed two rakahs shorter than the two before them, then prayed witr. That makes thirteen.Abdullah said, Musab narrated to us, Malik narrated to me from Abdullah bin Abu Bakr from his father that Abdullah bin Qays bin Makhrama informed him from Zayd bin Khalid al-Juhani, and he mentioned the hadith. He did not mention Abdul-Rahman in Malik's hadith from his father. The correct version is what Musab related from his father.Likewise, Abu Musa al-Ansari narrated to us, Maan narrated to us, Malik narrated to us from Abdullah bin Abu Bakr from his father that Abdullah bin Qays bin Makhrama informed him from Zayd bin Khalid al-Juhani.The correct version is what Musab and Maan said from his father, and Abdul-Rahman was not mentioned in it from his father. There is an error here.
