Zubayr reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed two rakahs after Asr at her house, so they used to pray them.Qabisa said that Zayd bin Thabit said, "May Allah forgive Ayesha. We know more about the Messenger of Allah ﷺ than Ayesha does. What happened was that some bedouins came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at midday and sat asking him questions while he gave them rulings, until he prayed Dhuhr without praying the two rakahs beforehand. Then he sat giving them rulings until he prayed Asr. When he returned to his house, he remembered that he had not prayed anything after Dhuhr, so he prayed those two rakahs after Asr. May Allah forgive Ayesha. We know more about the Messenger of Allah ﷺ than Ayesha does. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade praying after Asr."

أن رسول الله ﷺ صلى عندها ركعتين بعد العصر فكانوا يصلونها قال قبيصة فقال زيد بن ثابت يغفر الله لعائشة نحن أعلم برسول الله ﷺ من عائشة إنما كان ذلك لأن أناسا من الأعراب أتوا رسول الله ﷺ بهجير فقعدوا يسألونه ويفتيهم حتى صلى الظهر ولم يصل ركعتين ثم قعد يفتيهم حتى صلى العصر فانصرف إلى بيته فذكر أنه لم يصل بعد الظهر شيئا فصلاهما بعد العصر يغفر الله لعائشة نحن أعلم برسول الله ﷺ من عائشة نهى رسول الله ﷺ عن الصلاة بعد العصر
