The Messenger of Allah ﷺ permitted the sale of araya, allowing them to be sold based on their estimated measure.
حدثنا سريج حدثنا ابن أبي الزناد عن أبيه عن خارجة بن زيد أن
رخص رسول الله ﷺ في بيع العرايا أن تباع بخرصها كيلا
Its chain of transmission is sahih. Kharija bin Zayd is the son of Thabit, and here he narrates from his father. He was one of the jurists of Madinah and among the trustworthy narrators of the following generation. The hadith has appeared many times before. See 16037, 14812, and 14294.
