The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Any man who lifts a curtain and casts his gaze inside before being granted permission has committed a transgression that is not lawful for him to commit. If someone were to gouge out his eye, no compensation would be due. But if a man passes by a door that has no covering and sees the private parts of the household, no sin lies upon him. The sin lies only upon the people of the house."

قال رسول الله ﷺ أيما رجل كشف سترا فأدخل بصره من قبل أن يؤذن له فقد أتى حدا لا يحل له أن يأتيه ولو أن رجلا فقأ عينه لهدرت ولو أن رجلا مر على باب لا ستر له فرأى عورة أهله فلا خطيئة عليه إنما الخطيئة على أهل البيت
