Ahnaf bin Qays reported,

I entered Bayt al-Maqdis and found there a man who was prostrating frequently. I felt something about that within myself.When he finished, I said, "Do you know whether you finished on an even or an odd number?"He replied, "If I do not know, then Allah knows."Then he said, "My beloved Abu Qasim ﷺ told me," then he wept. Then he said, "My beloved Abu Qasim ﷺ told me," then he wept. Then he said, "My beloved Abu Qasim ﷺ told me that he said, 'There is no servant who prostrates to Allah a single prostration except that Allah raises him by it one degree, removes from him by it one sin, and records for him by it one good deed.'"I said, "Tell me, who are you, may Allah have mercy on you?"He answered, "I am Abu Dharr, the companion of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."At that, I felt myself shrink in his presence.

حدثنا عبد الرزاق قال سمعت الأوزاعي يقول أخبرني هارون بن رئاب

عن الأحنف بن قيس قال

دخلت بيت المقدس فوجدت فيه رجلا يكثر السجود فوجدت في نفسي من ذلك فلما انصرف قلت أتدري على شفع انصرفت أم على وتر قال إن أك لا أدري فإن الله عز وجل يدري ثم قال أخبرني حبي أبو القاسم ﷺ ثم بكى ثم قال أخبرني حبي أبو القاسم ﷺ ثم بكى ثم قال أخبرني حبي أبو القاسم ﷺ أنه قال ما من عبد يسجد لله سجدة إلا رفعه الله بها درجة وحط عنه بها خطيئة وكتب له بها حسنة قال قلت أخبرني من أنت يرحمك الله قال أنا أبو ذر صاحب رسول الله ﷺ فتقاصرت إلي نفسي
