Abu Dharr reported,

We were with the Prophet ﷺ on a journey when the muezzin wanted to call the adhan. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Wait until it cools down."Then he wanted to call it again, and the Prophet ﷺ said, "Wait until it cools down."He said this three times, until we saw the shadows of the mounds lengthen. Then he prayed and said, "The intensity of heat is from the blazing of Hell, so when the heat becomes severe, delay the prayer until it cools down."

حدثنا حجاج قال شعبة أخبرنا عن مهاجر أبي الحسن من بني تيم الله مولى لهم قال رجعنا من جنازة فمررنا بزيد بن وهب فحدث

عن أبي ذر قال

كنا مع النبي ﷺ في سفر فأراد المؤذن أن يؤذن فقال النبي ﷺ أبرد ثم أراد أن يؤذن فقال النبي ﷺ أبرد قالها ثلاث مرات قال حتى رأينا فيء التلول فصلى ثم قال إن شدة الحر من فيح جهنم فإذا اشتد الحر فأبردوا بالصلاة
