I came to ar-Rabadhah, and there I found Abu Dharr, who came out to meet me with riding camels he had taken to water and brought back. He had tied a waterskin around the neck of one of the camels so that he could drink from it and give his companions to drink, and this was one of the noble customs of the Arabs.I said, "Abu Dharr, what is the matter with you?"He replied, "My work occupies me."I said, "Tell me, Abu Dharr, what did you hear the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say?"He said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Whoever spends a pair from his wealth, the gatekeepers of Paradise will rush to welcome him.'"We asked, "What are these two?"He said, "If they are mounts, then two mounts. If they are horses, then two horses. If they are camels, then two camels," until he had enumerated every kind of wealth.I said, "Abu Dharr, tell me more. What did you hear from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?"He said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'There are no two Muslim parents who lose three children who have not yet reached the age of accountability except that Allah will admit them to Paradise through the abundance of His mercy for their loss.'"
