The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me, "Abu Dharr, look and see who is the most distinguished man in the mosque."I looked, and there was a man wearing a fine garment. I said, "This one."He said to me, "Look and see who is the lowliest man in the mosque."I looked, and there was a man dressed in worn-out rags. I said, "This one."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said, "This one is better in the sight of Allah on the Day of Resurrection than an earth full of men like the other."
حدثنا وكيع حدثنا الأعمش عن سليمان بن مسهر عن خرشة بن الحر
قال لي رسول الله ﷺ يا أبا ذر انظر أرفع رجل في المسجد قال فنظرت فإذا رجل عليه حلة قال قلت هذا قال قال لي انظر أوضع رجل في المسجد قال فنظرت فإذا رجل عليه أخلاق قال قلت هذا قال فقال رسول الله ﷺ لهذا عند الله أخير يوم القيامة من ملء الأرض من مثل هذا
