Abu Dharr reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "On the Day of Resurrection, a man will be brought forward, and it will be said, 'Present to him his minor sins.' His minor sins will be displayed before him while his major ones are concealed. He will be told, 'On such and such a day you did this and that, and on such and such a day you did this and that.' He will acknowledge them without denial, all the while dreading the major sins. Then it will be said, 'Give him in place of every bad deed a good deed.' At that he will say, 'I have sins that I do not see here.'"Abu Dharr said, "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ laugh until his back teeth showed."

حدثنا وكيع حدثنا الأعمش عن المعرور بن سويد

عن أبي ذر قال

قال رسول الله ﷺ يؤتى بالرجل يوم القيامة فيقال اعرضوا عليه صغار ذنوبه قال فتعرض عليه ويخبأ عنه كبارها فيقال عملت يوم كذا وكذا كذا وكذا وهو مقر لا ينكر وهو مشفق من الكبار فيقال أعطوه مكان كل سيئة حسنة قال فيقول إن لي ذنوبا ما أراها قال قال أبو ذر فلقد رأيت رسول الله ﷺ ضحك حتى بدت نواجذه
