The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "My example among the prophets is like that of a man who built a house, making it beautiful, splendid, and complete, except that he left the place of one brick unfilled. People began to walk around the building, marveling at it and saying, 'If only the place of this brick were filled.'"
حدثنا سعيد بن الأشعث بن سعيد السمان ابن أبي الربيع أخبرنا سعيد بن سلمة يعني ابن أبي الحسام حدثنا عبد الله بن محمد بن عقيل
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال مثلي في النبيين كمثل رجل ابتنى دارا فأحسنها وأجملها وأكلمها وترك منها موضع لبنة لم يضعها فجعل الناس يطوفون بالبنيان ويعجبون ويقولون لو تم موضع هذه اللبنة
Its chain of transmission is hasan. It also contains Saeed bin Ashath, whom Ahmad affirmed to be truthful and whom Ibn Hibban rated as trustworthy. As for Saeed bin Salama, he is trustworthy and his narration is found in Muslim. The hadith is like the one before it, and it is among the additional narrations.
