I said to Ubayy, "Abdullah says something about the two surahs of refuge."Ubayy replied, "We asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about them, and he said, 'It was said to me, so I said.' So I say what he said."
حدثنا أبو بكر بن عياش عن عاصم
قلت لأبي إن عبد الله يقول في المعوذتين فقال سألنا رسول الله ﷺ عنهما فقال قيل لي فقلت فأنا أقول كما قال
Its isnad is sahih, its narrators are trustworthy and well known, and Asim is Ibn Abu Najud, whose hadith we have already established as sound.This hadith was narrated by Bukhari 8/741 no. 4976 in Fath al-Bari, in the tafsir of "Say, I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak" [Falaq 113:1], by Abdul-Razzaq 3/384 no. 6040, by Ibn Abu Shayba 7/193 (Dar al-Fikr edition), and by Bayhaqi 2/394. Haythami said in 7/149, "Its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih."
